Calling all Twitterers (#2): Twestival TO is tonight, help us reach $10k

Posted on: Thursday, February 12, 2009 at 9 am - Comment

It was only 5 days ago when we put out our first big call to the Toronto twittersphere. When we announced that we were raising our fundraising goal for charity: water to $10,000. When we challenged ourselves to double our impact on the lives of others.

Since then, the twittersphere has lit up with retweets, ideas, helping hands, shows of support, and a passion unique to Toronto. As you are reading this, the world is already abuzz with Twestivals already having kicked off. We’re not far behind now.

If you haven’t purchased a ticket yet, go get yours NOW! Remember, 100% of your ticket cost goes directly to charity: water.

With your help today, we’ll be able to reach our $10,000 goal and build two wells to do our part in bringing clean water to the 1.1 billion people who don’t have it.

There are still ~75 more tickets that need to be sold. We can’t do it without your help!

Tweet this now!

Twestival TO will kick off at 7:00PM tonight at CiRCA, and we couldn’t be more excited. You can read past coverage on what’s going on At CiRCA: Rooms, interactive displays, DJs and At CiRCA (#2): Community fair, Raptors Dance Pak, photos.

Twestival TO was organized in a matter of weeks, and we’d like to thank all of the amazing volunteers, sponsors, and YOU tweeps that have helped make this possible. @amanda and the global team have also been unbelievable, with 175+ cities taking part in the cause today.

7:00PM at CiRCA. We’ll see you there.
